About Us
Firetron has been in the Fire & Gas Detection & Suppression industry for more than 38 years.
We are the forerunners in our field and we work extensively with some of the largest international companies operating within Africa for both land and marine applications.
Firetron Systems specialises in the design, installation, commissioning & annual/periodic inspection and certification of all manner of fire detection and fire suppression systems as well as portable & fixed gas detection, breathing air cascade systems, SCBA / EEBD overhaul and maintenance.
Company History
The teams are headed up by the owner Dave Thomas senior who spent 15 years working as a Fire & Gas installation & commissioning Engineer for Wormald Ansul (UK) with numerous projects in the North Sea before moving to South Africa for the Moss Gas, fire & gas commissioning for the FA Platform. On completion of the commissioning of the project in 1992 Dave entered in to a business partnership with an eventual buy out from Mr Alex Notman who had been running the already respected Firetron Systems for more than 10 years in Cape Town South Africa.
Where are we currently working?
Firetron Systems head office is in Cape Town, South Africa; with teams of skilled fire, gas & breathing air technicians.
Our technicians are carry out work in various parts of Africa and surrounding Islands including: Angola, Ghana, Togo, Gabon, Mozambique, Kenya, Madagascar & Namibia.
